This tool only decodes and reads the token — it does NOT verify the signature (that requires the secret/private key, which should never be pasted into a public tool). Never paste a production token containing sensitive data into any online tool, including this one.

📘 How to Use This Tool

Instantly inspect a JWT token's header, payload, and expiry — entirely in your browser.

  1. Paste your JWT token (starts with "eyJ...") into the box.
  2. The Header and Payload sections decode automatically as you type — no button needed.
  3. The banner at the top shows whether the token has expired, based on its "exp" claim (if present).
  4. Use the Payload section to inspect claims like user ID, roles, or issue time without logging into your backend.
